Overview: El segon volum de l’Epistolari de Víctor Català recull 494 cartes: les que l’escriptora va rebre dels seus editors i dels corresponsals vinculats a la premsa. Sempre que ha estat possible també hem inclòs les missives que ella els va enviar. Publiquem, per tant, les seves cartes professionals.La correspondència d’aquest volum té un gran valor documental, ja que ens permet resseguir bona part de la trajectòria professional de Víctor Català: coneixem moltes de les publicacions on va col·laborar al llarg de la seva carrera literària, amb quina freqüència va fer-ho, què va publicar en cada cas i amb quines condicions professionals. També sabem quins editors van interessar-se a publicar-li una obra. En aquest cas, especialment, les cartes aquí editades ens mostren quin va ser el procés d’edició, en algun cas molt detallat, de molts dels seus llibres. Així mateix, ens indiquen el seu posicionament ideològic envers l’ortografia de la llengua catalana i com aquest, sobretot als primers vint anys del segle xx, va influir en la publicació de la seva obra literària. D’aquestes lletres, també es desprèn la seva preocupació per corregir escrupolosament les proves de l’original abans de donar-lo a conèixer als lectors. Aquest epistolari, en definitiva, ens mostra una escriptora professional, preparada, informada i assessorada, en molts casos, per persones que coneixen el món editorial, que té un representant literari, Fèlix Clos, –una persona vinculada a la Impremta de l’Avenç– i que té present quin és el seu deure i reclama en correspondència els seus drets. Cal remarcar que en alguns casos firma les seves cartes com a Víctor Català i no com a Caterina Albert. La diferència que hi ha entre un i altre nom queda ben clara. Són dues persones diferents: Víctor Català és l’escriptora professional. Per tant, les missives més importants que Caterina Albert va enviar als seus editors les va firmar amb el pseudònim.Aquest llibre, després de la publicació del primer volum de l'Epistolari de Víctor Català (2005), és la culminació del projecte d'investigació presentat a la I Beca d'Hivern Víctor Català (L'Escala, 2002), que tenia com a objectiu editar la correspondència que Víctor Català va mantenir amb els seus editors i corresponsals vinculats a la premsa.

Finished it in a couple of days. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Will be looking for more from this author.

Not bad, but not my favorite. It felt a bit repetitive in the middle. Could have been shorter. Might work better for someone else, just wasn't completely for me.

I liked it for the most part. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. I'd probably recommend it to a friend.

An average read for me. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. A generous 3 stars.
