Overview: The year is 1898, and Jennie Brimhall and Inez Knight have been called to be the first single female missionaries in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in England. From their first steps on English soil, Sisters Knight and Brimhall feel like fish in a fishbowl. The notion of “lady preachers” is foreign to many elders serving with them, as well as to the English people they serve. Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Would probably read it again at some point.

I was pleasantly surprised. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. Glad I picked this up.

A solid read. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. Not bad at all.
