Overview: "Proleće 1979. godine na Filozofskom fakultetu u Beogradu za B. S.-a je bilo uistinu dosadno. Bio je na drugoj godini “čiste filozofije”, kako je njegov otac nazivao to što je njegov sin studirao. Ocu je bilo skroz nejasno čemu služi čista filozofija: “Osim ako ne misliš da već jednom odeš na radnu akciju, učlaniš se u Partiju i postaneš diplomata”.Ni B. S.-u nije bilo baš sasvim jasno šta je to filozofija, pošto je oko sebe gledao: zbunjene asistente koji su se nešto domunđavali među sobom; profesora koji je celu prvu godinu seksualizovao grčku metafiziku privla-čeći nestabilne i polupijane studentkinje i studente koje je omamljene vodio na ekskurziju u Grčku; gomilu bradatih mladića usijanih odela i očiju koji su išli konspirativno po fakultetu i demonstrativno nosili diplomske radove o Platonu i pravoslavlju, s utisnutim zlatnim krstačama na naslovnoj strani svog prvog filozofskog delca; ogroman broj jurodivih koji su pre fakulteta imali svoj filozofski sistem, a na fakultet su došli samo da nađu publiku i sledbenike. On sam, B. S., još je fantazirao o onome što je napisao u pismenom delu prijemnog ispita, kao odgovor na pitanje “Zašto želite da izučavate filozofiju”: “Želim da snimim film po Platonovim dijalozima, zapravo želim da filozofiju prožmem umetno-šću koja je potpuno strana vremenu u kojem je nastala”.Pitao se gde je u svemu tome čista filozofija sve dok s drugovima na hodniku nije čuo priču o stanju na fakultetu iz usta nešto starijeg kolege: “Ovo stanje na fakultetu je započelo pre četiri godine, kada je izbačeno osmoro profesora. Zar ne vidite koliko su asistenti zbunjeni, potpuno su nedorasli da drže predavanja, a moraju; vidite da se ne zna ko pije a ko plaća, marksisti se svađaju s analitičarima, a grčki metafizičar štancuje kadar za bogosloviju i Hilandar – opšti pičvajz”.To je, može se reći, B. S.-a prvi put trglo iz dogmatskog dremeža; shvatio je da je razlog beskrajne tuge, koja je mogla nožem da se seče po hodnicima fakulteta, nedavni gubitak profesora. On je nešto načuo o tome, o tim profesorima, ali mu nije palo ni na kraj pameti da njihov nedostatak može da proizvede toliku količinu konfuzije i tuge."____________________Deklarišući romanom svoju autoistorijsku knjigu „Sentimentalno vaspitanje — logika jedne biografije”, Branimir Stojanović priziva najbolje od ove klasične literarne forme evropske modernosti: njezinu mogućnost da kroz pojedinačno dotakne opšte, da život junaka iscrta kao znak za jednu moguću situiranost u totalitet istorije i društvenih odnosa. Antipersonalni karakter Stojanovićeve autobiografizacije očigledan je i iz odabira pisanja u trećem licu, pri čemu svog junaka autor naziva B. S., a opoziv fantazme nekog konačnog autorstva nad njegovim Životom i naracijom tog Života događa se i naslovljavanjem koje ne krsti nego unakrsno citira (Gistava Flobera i Žaka Lakana). Tim ukrštanjem naslov ujedno referira na dva društvena i spoznajna polja — umetnost i psihoanalizu — koja u knjizi izviru kao (klimave) štake za koje se B. S. pridržava dok neprestano svedoči padu „čiste filozofije”, koja se od inicijalnog objekta njegove studentske, mladalačke čežnje pretvara u najčistiji primer Očinskog nasilja u službi permanentne kontrarevolucije.— Ivana Bago***B. S. nije Flober, a njegovo „Sentimentalno vaspitanje” je pisano na jedan pomalo nevaspitan način. B. S. je lakanovski psihoanalitičar čija je primarna scena praksis filozofija. Sentimentalno vaspitanje je svojevrstan „sumrak idola”. Za B. S.-a subjekt nije tamo gde mu je biografija.
