Overview: Searching for a new home for herself and her younger sister, Dolly, Carrie Watson decided they should write to two Baggs, Wyoming, cattle ranchers seeking wives so they could live close to each other. Too bad the man she wrote to never responded. Annoyed with her potential husband’s disregard, and after being warned that part of Wyoming was outlaw country, Carrie decided against her and Dolly going there, even after the rancher writing to Dolly sent tickets for then both.Much to Carrie’s distress, Dolly, the little traitor, left a letter stating she fell in love with Jesse Hardin. She left a note saying she decided to marry him, and hoped Carrie would join her. I was pleasantly surprised. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. A solid 5/5 for me.
