Overview: Mahukas antoloogia «Eesti ulme XXI sajandil» on mõtteliseks järjeks Raul Sulbi koostatud «Eesti ulme antoloogiale» (Varrak 2002), mis kaardistas eesti žanriulme sünniperioodi 1985–2000. Nende kaante vahelt leiab ulmehuviline valiku XXI sajandi kahe esimese kümnendi olulisemaid kodumaiseid žanriulme tekste – lühijutte, jutustusi ja lühiromaane, autoreiks säravamad tähed meie ulmetaevas. Temaatiliselt viivad need lood meid alternatiivajaloolisse 13. sajandi Eestisse ja kaugtuleviku postapokalüptilistele maastikele, kaugetesse galaktikatesse, kosmosejaamadesse ja võõrastele planeetidele, ajas minevikku ja tulevikku, düstoopiaühiskondadesse ja varakeskaja viikingite karmi maailma.Kui 1990ndate eesti ulmes ja seda kajastanud antoloogias domineeris valdavalt lühijutt, siis sel sajandil on selgeks dominandiks kujunenud pikemad jutustused ja lühiromaanid, mis moodustavad ka seekordse valimiku raskuskeskme. Nii nagu «Eesti ulme antoloogia» defineeris 1990ndate eesti žanriulme autorite põlvkonna, püüab ka käesolev tekstikogu teha defineerimiskatse viimase kahe kümnendi eesti ulme lühiproosa autorite põlvkonnast. I liked it for the most part. I liked the main character, though some of the side plots were just okay. Still a good book.
