Overview: Pod koniec stycznia 1959 roku grupa turystów, głównie studentów i absolwentów Politechniki Uralskiej, postanowiła uczcić kolejny zjazd KPZR zdobyciem góry Otorten w Uralu Północnym. Wyprawa zakończyła się tragicznie i w wyjątkowo zdumiewających okolicznościach. Obozujący na zboczu turyści rozcięli swój namiot, wybiegli w uralską noc, rozpalili ognisko. Nikt nie przeżył nocy – niektórzy zmarli z powodu hipotermii, u innych znaleziono liczne urazy, ślady krwotoku z nosa, sporych rozmiarów sińce na twarzy, złamania. Do dziś nikt nie wyjaśnił tej sprawy, a samo śledztwo z 1959 roku było równie zagadkowe, jak tragedia. Prokurator zamknął je nagle, a w sprawozdaniu napisał, że przyczyną śmierci turystów była "potężna siła".Dziś w Rosji badaniem tej sprawy zajmuje się kilkanaście tysięcy osób, w tym Fundacja Pamięci Grupy Diatłowa. Napisano na ten temat kilkanaście książek, nakręcono filmy dokumentalne, opublikowano tysiące artykułów. Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Will be looking for more from this author.

Pretty good overall. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. Still a good book.

Finished it in a couple of days. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Worth the time and money.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. I liked the main character, though some of the side plots were just okay. I'd probably recommend it to a friend.
