In questo modo il reale viene colto come qualcosa che è sempre nell'atto di apparire, che non fa altro che svelarsi incessantemente (secondo un incedere prossimo a pólemos e fuoco eraclitei) e la parola, nel suo ritmo e nella sua letteralità, diventa lo spazio di questo incontro-urto». Così scrive nell'introduzione al volume Giorgia Bongiorno, che ha condotto questa scelta di Artaud poeta con un criterio cronologico, cercando di dar conto delle diverse tappe di un'attività assolutamente non minore dell'artista francese, ma viceversa integrata con la sua opera teatrale e saggistica, e con la sua vita.La traduzione di testi dalla natura così poco traducibile è stata fatta da Emilio Tadini, in collaborazione con la moglie Antonia, poco prima della sua scomparsa. Un'ultima testimonianza dell'artista e scrittore milanese che di Artaud ci ha lasciato anche un personalissimo ritratto, purtroppo rimasto incompiuto, che proponiamo nel volume.
