Overview: Swamiji had once said about himself : “I am ‘condensed India’ - the condensed form of Bharatvarsha is in me.” For his love for the country, he himself became India. Sister Nivedita too said the same : “Bharatavasha was the core of his passion, it was ever beating in his heart, it flowed in his veins, it was his day dream and it was his nightmare. Not just that, he grew to be India - an idol of Indian made of flesh and blood. Bharat’s spirituality, it’s sanctity, it’s wisdom, it’s power, it’s dreams and its future - he was the embodiment of all.”So it seems on reading Swamiji’s biography that there was probably no one else to be as proud of Bharatvarsha as Swami Vivekananda, probably nobody else was as pained as him for the country’s misery, and yet possibly the only one who had inflicted ruthless blows to the inability of the countrymen towards the country. Because no one has ever identified oneself with the country as did Swamiji. Like a mother who knows the sorrows, good-bad, weakness, necessity, danger and possibility of her child more than the child itself, Swamiji knew India. I have mixed feelings about this one. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. A generous 3 stars.

A very satisfying read. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Glad I picked this up.

It was just alright. It felt a bit repetitive in the middle. Could have been shorter. Might work better for someone else, just wasn't completely for me.
