Overview: شردت النكبة تمام الأكحل وعائلتها من مدينة يافا في فلسطين، وغادروا منها إلى بيروت عام 1948.ك ُبـرت تمـام وصـار الفـن لغتهـا التـي تحكـي بهـا للعالـم ذكرياتهـا وأحلامهـا. وبعـد سـنوات منحتهـا كليـــة المقاصـــد في بيـروت بعثـة لدراســة الفــن في المعهــد العــالي للفنــون الجميلــة في القاهــرة عــام 1953، وحصلــت علــى شــهادة الفنــون الجميلــة وشــهادة إجــازة تدريــس الفــن مــن المعهــد العــالي لمعلمــات الفنــون في القاهــرة عــام 1957. تزوجــت تمــام الأكحــل الفنــان إســماعيل شــموط، وشـاركته في كافـة المعـارض التـي أقيمـت لأعمالهمـا في معظـم البـلاد العربيـة، وفي عـدد كبيـر مـن بـلاد العالـم، ولهـا أعمـال مقتنـاة في عــدد مــن المتاحــف العربيــة والعالميــة. لا تــزال تمــام تنتــج أعمالهــا الفنيــة مــن مــكان إقامتهــا في العاصمــة الأردنيــة عمــان.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Glad I picked this up.

Finished it in a couple of days. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Glad I picked this up.

Good, but not quite perfect. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. Not bad at all.

Pretty good overall. I liked the main character, though some of the side plots were just okay. I'd probably recommend it to a friend.
