Overview: A psychologist who evaluates the fitness of parents for the courts finds herself reassessing her own mothering when her son falls victim to the opiate crisis.Psychologist and expert witness Sharon Lamb takes children away from their parents. A trained forensic evaluator for child welfare services, she is as qualified as anybody could be to do so. A very satisfying read. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. A solid 5/5 for me.

Pretty good overall. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. A solid 4 stars from me.
