Overview: This Thesis was submitted on behalf of The Department of Graduate Studies of The University of Metaphysics. Reiki healing was my introduction to not only energy healing, but intuition in general. Before I learned Reiki, I was not aware of how to access my intuition. Indeed, I thought that intuitive people were gifted in some way that I was not, and that psychic information was something I would never be able to experience. That belief had always disappointed me. I had a deep desire to have a spiritual connection that came from experience of some kind. I envied those with what I called, “Spiritual confidence,” and wished that somehow I could sense something that was outside of my own five senses. Learning Reiki was the start of a huge breakthrough for me, which fueled my passionate curiosity about energy healing and developing my intuitive abilities. As someone who went from being unaware of my own intuition to being able to sense energy and use energy healing to help others, I was intensely curious about the shift in myself, as well as how it had happened. The growth from “asleep” to “awakened” didn’t simply “happen,” but it was a skill that could be developed, practiced, and honed, much as learning to play piano. I realized that learning to identify and observe one’s own intuitive senses is a key to developing them. Being aware of my own learning process enabled me to teach others to do the same. Harnessing this understanding, I developed a method of Reiki called Practical Reiki, which is designed to teach energy healing this way. Subsequently, I embarked on a quest to strengthen my own abilities. I studied several different energy healing methods, always comparing them to what I knew, and doing my best to discern what made them unique. What I noticed is that there are common understandings inherent in every method I studied. This thesis will illuminate the commonalities and differences between these methods, and show the reader that intention is the "essential ingredient” central to energy healing. I will also explore the role of meditation in energy healing. At that point, I intend to discuss the implications of this finding for establishing a deeper understanding of Metaphysical healing as taught by Dr. Masters.

Glad someone recommended this to me. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Will be looking for more from this author.
