Phelan award and a Cannes Film Festival award. He has been a lifelong supporter of heroes, angels, muses, clowns and chefs. James Broughton is the author of several novels. Originally from the East Coast, they now live in the Midwest with family. In addition to writing, James Broughton enjoys gardening, cooking, and reading way past bedtime. Their work often explores the complexities of everyday life and human relationships.

Finished it in a couple of days. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Will be looking for more from this author.

An average read for me. The writing was fine, but I didn't feel very connected to the characters. They felt a bit flat. Might work better for someone else, just wasn't completely for me.

I have mixed feelings about this one. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. It's fine if you have nothing else to read.

It was okay. It felt a bit repetitive in the middle. Could have been shorter. A generous 3 stars.
