Discover Silver Platter Hoe: Everything That Glitters Ain't Gold (Part 1, 2, & 3 Box Set) (Original Series) by Reds Johnson. Start reading today and explore ideas, insights, and experiences that stay with you.

Overview: SPH Part 1: Trina is what you would call a ‘get money hoe’. She does whatever it takes to get it. People are sucked in by her sexy body and the innocent way she talks; little do they know they’re in for a rude awakening. Trina does any and everything in her power to take down anyone in her path, including her baby sister, Desire. Desire has been on her own since seventeen. Her parents were murdered and her gut feeling told her that Trina had something to do with it. After being homeless, Desire found the love of her life; Terrell Williamson aka Rell. He takes her under his wing and shows her what love is, but their happiness doesn’t last for too long. Desire holds a secret that Trina doesn’t want to get out. Trina goes out of her way to make sure Desire suffers one way or another. It’s a dangerous battle between sisters. Who will win? SPH 2: The family feud continues as Desire sets out to end it once and for all. But someone very close to her in many ways stops her from pulling the trigger. After trying to get on with their lives by moving to another state, Desire and Rell receives some shocking news that pushes Rell over the edge. Once again, he does everything in his power to protect his family, but will that be enough? Desire finds a letter in Rell's pocket that holds a secret that he's been keeping from her since they been together. After finding out the truth behind it, Desire realizes there's a new Trina in town and tries her hardest to protect her family as well. More secrets push their way to the surface and adds more fuel to the fire. Just when they thought things couldn't get any worse, the unexpected happens. SPH 3: Robert finds out some shocking news about the incident that left his niece, Desire in a coma. When Rell finds out the information he is more than furious. While Mark is keeping his eyes on things he starts to let Rell in on certain stuff which pushes him to do his own research. He finds out more than he should have, leaving him to take matters into his own hands. Everyone is involved at this point, and things are about to get ugly and deadly. There is someone else out there that's been keeping a close eye on Desire and Rell since the beginning, but who could it be? Not only did Rell have to deal with Terrence, but their father Tyshawn is back in the picture and he's ready to shed blood. There's going to be a lot of tears and blood shed. More secrets will be pushed to the surface.

It was just alright. It had some good moments, but the overall plot felt a bit disjointed in the second half. Probably won't read it again, but it was an okay way to pass the time.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. I'd probably recommend it to a friend.

I have mixed feelings about this one. Some parts were interesting, while others were a bit of a slog to get through. It's fine if you have nothing else to read.
