Overview: Ana Castro (Pozoblanco, Córdoba, 1990) es periodista y trabaja en el ámbito de la Comunicación Corporativa. Ha promovido y participado en distintos proyectos culturales, entre ellos el Festival Cosmopoética. Sus poemas aparecen en diversas antologías. El cuadro del dolor es su primer poemario. El cuadro del dolor, merecedor del III Premio de Poesía Juana Castro, es el primer poemario de Ana Castro. En él se recoge una aproximación poética al dolor, en la que cobran especial sentido las raíces y la genealogía familiar y literaria y en la que el lenguaje se vuelve insuficiente, abriéndose así a una serie de imágenes orgánicas y ficticias en su intento por tratar de darle un nombre. En el fallo del premio, el Jurado destacó: "el poemario versa sobre el dolor, sobre las raíces y la familia, orgánico y material, sugerente y crudo. Con más voz personal que eco, el poemario posee ritmo interno y elige un léxico contenido para expresar intensas emociones".

Finished it in a couple of days. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

An average read for me. The writing was fine, but I didn't feel very connected to the characters. They felt a bit flat. Just right down the middle.
