Overview: "J’ai longtemps hésité à raconter ce qui, dons ma vie, a été un drame, auquel furent mêlés étroitement Simone de Beauvoir et Jean-Paul Sartre. A dix-sept ans, j’ai éprouvé envers Simone de Beauvoir, qui fut mon professeur de philosophie, un attachement passionné. Leur contenu m’a révélé sous un tout autre visage celle que j’avais aimée toute ma vie et qui m’avait constamment abusée. J’y lisais le dépit, la jalousie, la mesquinerie, l’hypocrisie, la vulgarité.C’est la raison principale qui m’a déterminée à écrire le récit de cette aventure à la fois banale et exceptionnelle.Que Sartre m’ait sacrifiée à sa quête perpétuelle et vaine de séduction pour m’abandonner ensuite sans vergogne, soit. Mais que Simone de Beauvoir serve de pourvoyeuse à son compagnon est plus étonnant. I was pleasantly surprised. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. A solid 5/5 for me.

It was okay. The writing was fine, but I didn't feel very connected to the characters. They felt a bit flat. Probably won't read it again, but it was an okay way to pass the time.
