Overview: Em 8 de março de 1917, uma manifestação reuniu, na Rússia, mais de 90 mil mulheres contra o tsar Nicolau II e a participação do país na Primeira Guerra Mundial. O evento, que também exigia melhores condições de trabalho e o fim imediato da fome que se alastrava pelo país, tomou proporções inimagináveis e culminou na chamada Revolução de Fevereiro, um prenúncio da Revolução de Outubro, que derrubou o tsarismo, deu o poder aos sovietes e levou à construção da URSS. Para comemorar o centenário dessa data incendiária, a Boitempo publica A revolução das mulheres, antologia com dezenas de artigos, atas, panfletos e ensaios de autoras russo-soviéticas produzidos nesse contexto de convulsão social e política. Nesses textos de intervenção e reflexão sobre a condição e a emancipação da mulher, destaca-se sobretudo a importância da igualdade entre os gêneros na defesa da classe trabalhadora: a separação entre mulheres e homens interessava apenas ao capital, para a Revolução a luta deveria ser conjunta. A leitura, que percorre temas como feminismo, emancipação, trabalho, luta de classes, família, leis e religião, permite distinguir que houve, de fato, a conquista de direitos desde então, mas também demonstra que diversos critérios desiguais continuam em vigor, o que torna os textos, apesar de clássicos, mais atuais do que nunca. A coletânea vem acrescida de fotografias das autoras e de cenas da Revolução. Este é um livro feito integralmente por mulheres, da capa à edição, passando pela preparação, revisão e diagramação. A organização é da pesquisadora Graziela Schneider, e os textos foram traduzidos diretamente do russo pela primeira vez no Brasil.
