Overview: The third annual Kapiti Coast District Libraries poetry contest - If You're a Poet We Want to Know It - is aimed this year to encourage and celebrate humorous poetry in its many forms: all the way from witty, sardonic, amusing, dry, and charming, to laugh out loud, belly laughing, foot-stamping funny. We hope in this volume you'll find something to tickle your funny bone or cause you to smile. The library received in total 35 poems, in each of three age groups: Children - age 6-12 Teens - age 13-18 Adults - age 19 and older Again this year, we're providing the book in print and as an eBook thanks to our digital services team. Thanks are due also to the library's community services team who coordinated the contest and open mic reading, as well as to our judges this year, members of the Friends of the Kapiti Libraries. We hope you enjoy reading your own poems here, as well as those of your fellow Kapiti area writers.

After spending years working in the corporate world, Kapiti Coast District Council finally decided to pursue a lifelong passion for writing. They currently reside in a quiet suburb where they spend most of their time outlining new stories, reading extensively, and occasionally attempting to bake.
Finished it in a couple of days. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Will be looking for more from this author.

Such a great read. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Would probably read it again at some point.

It was just alright. It had some good moments, but the overall plot felt a bit disjointed in the second half. Just right down the middle.

Good, but not quite perfect. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. A solid 4 stars from me.

Really enjoyed this one. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Worth the time and money.
