Overview: 'Nu ja, lijmen. De mensen bepraten en dan doen tekenen. En als zij getekend hebben, krijgen zij het ook werkelijk thuis.' Met deze cryptische zin probeert Boorman, de hoofdpersoon uit Lijmen / Het been, zijn nieuw geworven assistent in het vak in te wijden dat hij bij uitstek beheerst: lijmen. Boorman heeft Laarmans van de straat opgepikt, hem zijn pijp laten vermorzelen en hem zijn flaphoed ontnomen en maakt hem van de ene op de andere dag medeplichtig aan zijn Wereldtijdschrift. Good, but not quite perfect. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. Still a good book.

Glad someone recommended this to me. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

It was okay. The writing was fine, but I didn't feel very connected to the characters. They felt a bit flat. A generous 3 stars.

A solid read. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. Still a good book.
