Un cammino che Mauro Biglino ha iniziato come traduttore per le Edizioni San Paolo e che lo ha portato a sviluppare una lettura alternativa dell'Antico Testamento capace di suggerire ipotesi davvero rivoluzionarie. Il primo passo del suo metodo è quello del "fare finta che": se si "fa finta che" gli autori biblici abbiano voluto tramandare semplicemente fatti storici realmente accaduti, se si tolgono dalla Bibbia le interpretazioni metaforiche e teologiche che dogmi e abitudini culturali le hanno attribuito, e si applica una lettura laica e letterale, il quadro cambia in modo radicale. Ci si rende conto che la Bibbia non parla di Dio, né di alcunché di divino, ma di una storia tutta "fisica" che svela un'ipotesi dirompente sull'origine dell'essere umano sulla Terra. A supporto di questa tesi, l'autore porta una traduzione attenta dei testi: "Il Dio spirituale, trascendente, onnisciente e onnipotente non trova riscontro in nessuna parola presente nella lingua ebraica". Porta contributi forniti spontaneamente da altri studiosi: "Mi è stata trasmessa una ricca documentazione storica e scientifica (biologi e genetisti), spesso appositamente approntata, che comprende studi, analisi, articoli contenenti conferme sia dirette che indirette ai miei studi". Ed elabora per la prima volta un originale e sorprendente confronto tra il testo biblico e i testi omerici (tra Elohim e theoi) che mostra passi sovrapponibili e coincidenze di un'evidenza impressionante. A solid read. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. A solid 4 stars from me.
