Overview: Buku Tasauf Modern ini ditulis oleh Almarhum Hamka sekitar tahun 30-an, sebagai karangan bersambung dalam majalah Pedoman Masyarakat yang terbit di Medan dengan Hamka sendiri sebagai pemimpin redaksi. Setelah selesai pemuatan dalam majalah, atas permintaan pembaca Tasauf Modern diterbitkan sebagai sebuah buku untuk pertama kali tahun 1939.Penerbitan pertama ini ternyata mendapat sambutan dari masyarakat sehingga mengalami cetak ulang beberapa kali dari sebuah penerbit di Medan. Setelah Proklamasi Kemerdekaan, Tasauf Modern kembali diterbitkan di Jakarta sekitar tahun 60-an.Sejak sekitar tahun 70-an, oleh pengarang, penerbitan Tasauf Modern dan beberapa karya lain termasuk Tafsir Al-Azhar dipercayakan pada Pustaka Panjimas. Alhamdulillah minat dan sambutan pembaca terhadap karya-karya Almarhum Hamka, sampai saat ini masih tetap tinggi, terbukti dengan terjadi beberapa kali cetak ulang Tasauf Modern, Falsafah Hidup, Lembaga Budi, Tasauf Perkembangan dan Pemurniannya dan lain-lain. Bukan hanya di Indonesia, beberapa penerbit di Malaysia dan Singapura atas persetujuan ahli waris menerbitkan Tasauf Modern dan karya-karya Hamka lainnya.

Hamka is the author of several novels. Originally from the East Coast, they now live in the Midwest with family. In addition to writing, Hamka enjoys gardening, cooking, and reading way past bedtime. Their work often explores the complexities of everyday life and human relationships.

Such a great read. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Glad I picked this up.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. A solid 4 stars from me.

I was pleasantly surprised. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Worth the time and money.

Such a great read. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.
