Overview: Luis Alberto de Cuenca nació en Madrid el 29 de diciembre de 1950. Es Profesor de Investigación del CSIC. Ha obtenido, entre otros, el Premio de la Crítica con La caja de plata (1985), el Nacional de Traducción con su Versión del Cantar de Valtario(1987), el Premio de Literatura de la Comunidad de Madrid por la totalidad de su obra poética (2006) y el Premio «Julián Marías» de Investigación en Humanidades (2013). Ha publicado en la colección Visor Por fuertes y fronteras (1996), Sin miedo ni esperanza (2002), La vida en llamas(2006), El reino blanco (2010) y Los mundos y los días, recopilación de su poesía completa (4a edición, 2012). Otros libros de Versos suyos son Elsinore (1972), Scholia (1978), El otro sueño (1987), El hacha y la rosa (1993) o La mujer y el vampiro (2010). Ha reunido sus ensayos en títulos como El héroe y sus máscaras (1991), Etcétera (1993), Bazar (1995), Álbum de lecturas (1996), Señales de humo (1999), De Gilgamesh a Francisco Nieva (2005), Nombres propios (2011), Libros contra el aburrimiento (2011) o Palabras con alas (2012). I was pleasantly surprised. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. A solid 5/5 for me.
