Overview: Il Centro Donna Salute Mentale di Trieste è un'emanazione al femminile di quell'esperienza post-manicomiale iniziata negli anni Settanta, proprio a Trieste, da Franco Basaglia e dai suoi collaboratori. Fabrizia Ramondino ha frequentato il Centro in due lunghi periodi nel corso del 1998 con l'intento di conoscere dall'interno la realtà quotidiana di questa microsocietà toccata dal dolore, ma anche dall'entusiasmo e dall'impegno umano. Il diario dell'autrice registra molte voci di donne che raccontano storie di ossessioni, di sradicamento, di chiusura nei rapporti col prossimo, di entusiasmi e di sfidlucia. Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. Not bad at all.

Glad someone recommended this to me. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Will be looking for more from this author.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. Still a good book.

I was pleasantly surprised. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Would probably read it again at some point.
