Overview: „E ca şi când aș fi ghidat cu blândeţe printre scrieri, filme, muzică, peisaje şi mii de feluri de tristeţe. Cineva îmi atinge uşor, dar insistent, tâmplele cu palma, cum îndrumi o pisică spre vasul cu mâncare sau apă, îmi şi vorbeşte peltic şi rudimentar, ca unui bebeluş. Mircea Cărtărescu writes contemporary fiction and has always been fascinated by character-driven stories. They hold a degree in English Literature and previously worked as an editor before transitioning to writing their own books. Mircea Cărtărescu lives with their spouse and a very vocal rescue cat.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Will be looking for more from this author.

Such a great read. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Would probably read it again at some point.

Finished it in a couple of days. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. A solid 5/5 for me.
