Overview: A fost cândva un ceas cu cuc de-origine helvetă, în care Cucul, singur cuc, doar că n-avea servietă, atât era de birocrat după opinia Mâţii, cea cu demarş aristocrat şi-un pluş ca,-n salcie, mâţii, a Calului solemn de şah certat cu linia oablă, ca şi-a Cocoşului din, ah sau vai, precară tablă, – care-l urau pe bietul Cuc fi’ndcă-i strica lu’ dl Cocoş & Calului năuc, plus dnei Mâţe, somnul. Când Pasărea (ca-n Maeterlinck de-albastră!) se opune prea-zilnicului râs şi zbeng al celor trei, – şi-l pune să-nveţe a zbura pe Cuc! Dar Mâţa, Calu-n şchioapăt, Cocoşul câş... Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.
