Overview: Martin Bonehouse sits in his hotel room in New Orleans writing a book about a city constructed not of bricks and timber, but of stories and jazz. This book will be a welcome departure from his shocking fiction debut, the far-reaching consequences of which have had a hand in his exile and estrangement from his family in England. Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Worth the time and money.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. I'd probably recommend it to a friend.
