Overview: In a post-apocalyptic world when all nations have fallen and resources are low, mankind has been forced to find other means of survival. In this dark world, one civilization stands out with its advanced technology and peaceful way of life. This civilization is known as Arcadia, many have tried to invade this great society but thanks to their immortal weapon, the Phoenix, all who tried have failed. The people of Arcadia live free and safe knowing that the great Phoenix, is always watching over them, but we all know that even in the most perfect of societies not everyone can be happy. The one responsible for safety of its people can never have happiness of his own. He finally gets a chance to live a normal life like everyone else, but by doing so he has to turn his back on the ones who rely on him. He gives up the people he protects for a life of happiness, which he later realizes it isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. He learns that true happiness lies not the way he lives but the ones around him, and learns what it means to be a true hero.

I liked it for the most part. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. Not bad at all.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Will be looking for more from this author.
