Overview: En el número 185 de la Revista Tierra Adentro, Rodolfo JM publicó una reseña sobre Toda la sangre de Bernardo Esquinca donde escribe “Es curioso y digno de otro ensayo que, a diferencia de países donde la literatura fantástica es vital en su tradición (Inglaterra, Alemania, Argentina), los críticos mexicanos reaccionen visceralmente ante ella, sus practicantes y lectores, y los llamen excéntricos”.En la web de Tierra Adentro decidimos tomarle la palabra a Rodolfo y pedirle ese otro ensayo, junto con la invitación de que coordinara una antología. El resultado aparecerá aquí, un nuevo texto cada día. Once ensayos sobre literatura fantástica en México y once cuentos fantásticos de jóvenes autores mexicanos, para que no quede duda de la vitalidad del género. En palabras de Rodolfo JM:Los cartógrafos de la antigüedad utilizaban la frase Hic svnt dracones (Aquí hay dragones) para indicar en sus mapas aquellas zonas desconocidas en las que, se suponía, habitaban las más extrañas y peligrosas criaturas. En la literatura mexicana, como en todo continente, hay terrenos apenas vislumbrados y en los que no cualquiera se atreve, pero también hay exploradores dispuestos a enfrentar el riesgo. Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. Still a good book.

Finished it in a couple of days. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Will be looking for more from this author.

A very satisfying read. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Glad I picked this up.
