Overview: "Polskiego kata poznałem 15 marca 1985 r. w gabinecie naczelnika Aresztu Śledczego w Poznaniu. Było to tuż przed wykonaniem wyroku kary śmierci na Kazimierzu Polusie. Zbierałem wówczas materiały do reportażu pt. „Morderca u konfesjonału”, przygotowywanego dla „Ekspresu Reporterów”. Wtedy to po raz pierwszy próbowałem namówić kata na udzielenie wywiadu. Stanowczo odmówił, zasłaniając się tajemnicą służbową. Miał w pamięci to, co spotkało jego poprzednika z czasów przedwojennych – kiedy dowiedziano się o jego katowskiej profesji, wymówiono mu lokal, który zamieszkiwał. Zapamiętałem dokładnie twarz tamtego mężczyzny z gabinetu naczelnika. Spotkałem go ponownie przypadkowo w 1990 roku na mitingu Anonimowych Alkoholików w Warszawie. Będąc już na „zasłużonej” emeryturze, tym razem był bardziej skłonny do rozmowy. Tak zaczęła się nasza znajomość. Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.
