Overview: English summary: This study provides an overview of the multi-branched textual tradition from Plato's Meno to the first Renaissance issuance of Aldin. All Greek manuscripts were fully collated and systematically evaluated - many for the first time. The Latin versions of Henricus Aristippus (12th century) and Marsilio Ficino (from the years 1464 and 1484) were also investigated, partly based on new collations, and diverse secondary transmissions were taken into account. The book thus provides an important contribution to the study of the textual history of Plato's Dialogues. German text. German description: Diese Untersuchung bietet einen Uberblick ueber die vielverzweigte Textueberlieferung von Platons Menon bis zur ersten Renaissance-Ausgabe, der Aldina. Alle griechischen Handschriften wurden vollstandig kollationiert und systematisch ausgewertet - darunter viele erstmalig. Auch die lateinischen Versionen von Henricus Aristippus (12. An average read for me. The pacing was a bit slow and I found myself skimming a few pages. It wasn't terrible, just okay. It's fine if you have nothing else to read.

Glad someone recommended this to me. I got really invested in the main character's journey. Everything just clicked for me. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

Finished it in a couple of days. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

A solid read. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. Not bad at all.
