Overview: Originally published in 1907, as part of the Cambridge English Classics series, this volume of Prior's works contains the Dialogues of the Dead, together with other compositions in prose and verse. At the time of publication much of this material was previously unknown, having been discovered through extensive research into Prior's papers at Longleat. The text forms the companion volume to Poems on Several Occasions, which was published as part of the same series in 1905. This book will be of value to anyone with an interest in the works of Prior and their contribution to the development of English literature.

Pretty good overall. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. Not bad at all.

Finished it in a couple of days. The writing style is very engaging. It’s easy to follow but still has a lot of depth. Worth the time and money.

Such a great read. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Will be looking for more from this author.

A solid read. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. Enjoyable weekend read.
