Far convergere le rette parallele in un punto, non a caso chiamato "di fuga", ha scardinato, oltre all'arte del Rinascimento, la matematica nei secoli successivi, e richiesto un ripensamento della percezione e della concezione dello spazio.Il riferimento del titolo, infine, è storico. Perché, in un certo senso, di una letterale fuga si tratta e si narra. Non dalla geometria stessa, come dicevamo, ma dal vecchio Euclide e dai suoi vecchi Elementi, verso nuovi geometri e nuove geometrie. Naturalmente, non c'è bisogno di gridare "Abbasso Euclide!", come si arrivò a fare nel furore astrattista del Novecento. Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. I liked the main character, though some of the side plots were just okay. A solid 4 stars from me.
