This manuscript was written by Rolfe at the time he and his wife, Pocahontas, accompanied the Governor of Virginia, Sir Thomas Dale, to England. For this edition, the introduction was written by John Cook Wylie, who was the curator of rare books at the University of Virginia. Next there is a Biographical Sketch of Joh Rolfe written by John Melville Jennies, Librarian of the Virginia Historical Society. Following that is " John Rolfe's Relation ; Note on the Pembroke-Taylor Manuscript" by Francis L. Berkeley, Jr. of the University of Virginia Library. Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. Writing is good, just wish there was a bit more depth in certain parts. Still kept my attention though. Enjoyable weekend read.

An average read for me. It had some good moments, but the overall plot felt a bit disjointed in the second half. Probably won't read it again, but it was an okay way to pass the time.
