Overview: Pada suatu hari, Darmagandhul, seorang murid yang tajam hatinya, bertanya kepada gurunya, Kiai Kalamwadi, tentang awal mula kenapa masyarakat Jawa meninggalkan agama Buda dan beralih memeluk agama Islam. Pada saat itulah Kiai Kalamwadi mulai menyadari bahwa rahasia kehancuran Majapahit dan Jawa, yang disembunyikan para penguasa selama berabad-abad, patut dibabarkan kepada Darmagandhul, agar menjadi pelajaran bagi generasi mendatang. Kiai Kalamwadi memperoleh pengetahuan itu dari gurunya, Raden Budi, yang mewarisi cerita sejarah dan ilmu-ilmu rahasia leluhur Jawa.Melalui percakapan yang disenandungkan, Kiai Kalamwadi lantas berkisah tentang kehancuran Majapahit karena serangan Demak, yang dipimpin Raden Patah, putra kandung Prabu Brawijaya yang berkuasa, atas prakarsa para sunan. Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. Not bad at all.

Such a great read. The pacing was spot on and the characters felt real. I didn't find myself getting bored at any point. Will be looking for more from this author.
