Overview: ls rechercheur Peter van Opperdoes op een koude winteravond een wandeling door donker Amsterdam maakt om zijn zinnen te verzetten, hoort hij in de verte de loeiende sirene van een politieauto. Als hij nog een sirene hoort, is zijn nieuwsgierigheid gewekt. Hij wandelt in de richting van het geluid en komt terecht op het Stenen Hoofd waar een aantal politieagenten de boel heeft afgezet. Aan het einde van het lange grasveld, vlak bij het water, ligt een doodgeschoten man. Van Opperdoes en zijn collega Jacob onderzoeken de moord. Dan wordt in de omgeving van het Stenen Hoofd de auto van het slachtoffer gevonden. In de kofferbak ligt een tweede lijk. En als er dan ook nog een verborgen usb-stick op het lichaam wordt gevonden, beseft Van Opperdoes dat de zaak ingewikkelder gaat worden dan hij had gedacht.

Pretty good overall. I liked the main character, though some of the side plots were just okay. Enjoyable weekend read.

I was pleasantly surprised. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Would probably read it again at some point.

Finished it in a couple of days. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

It was okay. It felt a bit repetitive in the middle. Could have been shorter. Might work better for someone else, just wasn't completely for me.

Finished it in a couple of days. I loved how the story unfolded. It kept me guessing without being too confusing. Will be looking for more from this author.
